Information about the Cropwell Butler & Tythby Village Hall
The Cropwell Butler & Tythby Village Hall, located on Main Street, is a versatile venue available for a variety of public and private events. It welcomes both village residents and non-residents for any occasion.
Set within its own grounds, the hall has an attractive front lawn, a convenient car park, and an adjacent children’s playground. The area also extends via the car park to the Sheldon Field, providing easy access to the village’s extensive footpath network.
Functions and Events
The Village Hall is ideal for a variety of purposes including:
- Social parties (for adults and children)
- Receptions, wedding or similar celebrations
- Lunches, buffet or cooked, tea, coffee and light refreshments
- Meetings, conferences, educational seminars, society meetings
- Dancing, keep-fit and other indoor sport
In fact, any public or private event that complies with the modest restrictions of use of the hall. Please check with the Booking Secretary for specific guidance.
Facilities
- Entrance Hall small entrance lobby leading to an entrance hall with a serving bar
- Main Hall with a raised stage, overall size is approximately 11 m x 11 m x 3.5 m (e.g. large enough to accommodate a bouncy castle)
- Bar/serving area is open screen separated and can accommodate a maximum number of 100 people including any disco/entertainment.
- Committee Room for meetings, receptions, buffets etc
- Kitchen Facilities that are fully equipped and approved by the Borough Council
- Dressing Room for stage work or temporary storage etc
- Storage Room with various sized tables and chairs
- Toilet Facilities for Disabled, Female and Male
- Central heating system with pre-set and automatic temperature control
- Disabled access via ramp from car park level
- Large projector screen available should this be required
- Outside Views of various aspects of the Village Hall, both front and rear
- Playground for children including seating area and different play equipment
The Hall is available for hire throughout the year and can be of the entire premises or just of the Main Hall or the Committee Room. Use of the kitchen is only included where stated below. The use of the car park behind the Hall is included, however the Garden area in front of the patio is a public area and cannot be hired or cordoned.
The Hall has a licence for public entertainment but not for selling or supplying alcohol. If you wish to sell or supply alcohol you will need to provide a Temporary Event Notice to the Licensing Authority.
It is a popular venue with regular bookings, so may not always be available. Please check with the Booking Secretary for specific availability.
