Flood Wardens

These volunteers are responsible for monitoring any flooding in the village and for deciding if and when a road closure is necessary.

Road closure signs can only be deployed when there is an increased risk to people’s health and/or additional damage is likely to community assets, homes and vehicles from further use of the road.

The wardens are appointed and trained by Nottinghamshire County Council and have the backing of the local police, which means ignoring these road closure signs can result in police prosecution.

If you have any questions, need to report a flooding incident or would like to volunteer as a flood warden then please use the contact details below.

Flood Alert
