The Design Code supplements the Rushcliffe Local Plan. It sets out design requirements for new development in Rushcliffe Borough and will be used in the determination of planning applications.

The adopted Design Code, its Strategic Environmental Assessment and Appropriate Assessment Screening Opinion Report, its Consultation Statement and its Adoption Statement can be viewed at:

Under Section 23(1) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, the Council has modified the SPD to take into account representations made in relation to the document and other relevant matters. The modifications made are summarised in the Statement of Consultation.

Any person with sufficient interest in the decision to adopt the Rushcliffe Design Code SPD may apply to the High Court for permission to apply for judicial review of the decision to adopt the SPD. Any such application must be made promptly and in any event not later than three months after the date on which the SPD was adopted.

For further information on the SPD, or any aspect of the Rushcliffe Local Plan, please contact the Borough Council on 0115 981 9911 or by e-mail at localdevelopment@rushcliffe.gov.uk
